Why you don’t need systems in your business

Any coach worth his/her salt will be telling you that your business needs systems.

Well, I’m going against grain here by telling you that that is not necessarily the case.

There are a number of criteria which will dictate whether your business really does need systems or not.

In this short video I explain these criteria to help you to understand if systems is a ‘nice-to-have’ or a necessity to help you get more time, more money and set your business up for growth. You can watch that or keep reading below.

Your Business May Not Need Systems if:

You want to stay CRAZY BUSY. This is a state of operating whereby you are doing everything, you can’t hand work over to others, and your team is really reactive.

You want to stay SMALL. If you’re a husband and wife business with no team and no intention of bringing on team to grow your operation, earn more money, and allow you to step out of the business to go on holidays or do other things, than you can probably get by without systems.

You want to MAINTAIN MEDIOCRITY. This may sound a bit harsh if you’re currently running a successful business without systems. In these cases what I’ve seen systems do is allow you to replicate what you’re doing now repeatedly at a high standard to create more consistent and reliable results. If you prefer to stay at the same level of performance, output and quality where you are now, then you don’t need systems.

You don’t want to want to SPEND TIME WITH YOUR PARTNER. Truth bomb – ouch! Not having systems in place will keep you busy, chained to your business with little time left over for your partner, your kids, and friends. If those relationships are not a priority for you, then you don’t need systems.
