Mixing work, family and fun on a global stage

Taki and Kiri-Maree Moore

It’s always so inspiring to meet a couple in business together who have mastered the art of integrating business, fun and family in such a seamless way.

They’re inspiring for me because juggling the demands of business and family can be such a tricky tack to tow when you work with your husband or wife. Those lines get so blurred that it can be tough to do one or either (let alone both) justice.

Today’s podcast couple, Kiri-Maree and Taki Moore, manage to do just that. A dynamic duo with an uber successful global coaching company, these ‘5-star nomads’  travel the world with their five children, setting up ‘home’ wherever their work-life adventure takes them. Sure, it’s not always perfect (wait to your hear about the Customs hitch which saw their kids stranded in an airport by themselves for hours!) but they wouldn’t have it any other way.

In this episode we chat about:

  • Life on the road: Tahiti to Sydney (and everywhere in between)
  • The six-figure business that pays for their dream life
  • The ‘stage show’ metaphor that sums up their roles
  • Why they decided to work together
  • Kiri-Maree fires up: “I am not my husband’s handbag!”
  • The Ying-Yang recipe for success
  • Sharing the load at home (or not…!)
  • The Customs hitch which saw their kids stranded in an airport
  • Why they rely on their village in times of need
  • Tips for travelling with kids (and getting work done)
  • How they make a home wherever they go
  • Hacks that make life easier on the road
  • Why they chose to take their kids on the road
  • How their kids learn from the ‘school of life’
  • Coping with conflict
  • The ‘catch-all’ meeting that keeps their business on track
  • Their 9-grid framework for making quick decisions
  • Theming the days of the week for clarity and focus
  • Learn more about Taki and Kiri-Maree’s work
  • What they know now that they wished they knew starting out
  • Plus so much more!
