ABOUT

MEET THE HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM WHO ARE TRANSFORMING THE LIVES OF COUPLES IN BUSINESS...

WHO WE ARE

On most days we would describe ourselves as a happily married couple and proud parents to two beautiful sons, Samuel, 4, and Charles, 2. We live on the Gold Coast in sunny Queensland, Australia from where we operate the Institute for Couples in Business, which specialises in supporting other couples in business (like us!) to build sustainable operations that allow them to live a life they love (like us!).

As a married couple juggling the demands of a young family, two businesses and all else that life throws at us, we understand the challenges that couples in business together face. There’s this constant tug-of-war between the needs of the business, and that of your marriage and family. With no smart strategies in place, that friction creates conflict and, left unchecked over time, can seriously impact your business — and your relationship.

“It’s not only about the doubling of business. It’s about the time you reclaim with your wife, kids and for yourself.”

“Being partners in business and in life can either leave you wanting to throttle one another or, if played well, affords you super power status.”

WHAT WE DO

When we first started working with business owners more than seven years ago, we recognised very early on that couples in business had additional needs to other business owners.
We see husbands working crazy hours trying to work in and on the business and support their family, while the wives are raising the kids, keeping house, as well as working on the business day or night.

Wives feel under-valued and lumped with all of the left-over, crappy jobs while husbands are flat-out exhausted (and fed-up with the nagging).

You are both often exhausted and over-worked, with no time to nurture your relationships and do anything other than work, work, work. That’s sucks, and the truth is you can only sustain it for so long before the cracks start to show in your business, your health, and your marriage.

When couples reach out to us for help, it’s magical to see the transformation that takes place in a short space of time. Like sailors who’ve been lost at sea they scramble aboard that life raft and suck in the fresh air. For the first time in a long time they can clearly see the course they need to chart and confidently take the helm to steer their ship and its crew to smoother waters.

WHY WE DO IT

Beyond the rewards we see working with individual teams, our wider vision is to help build a solid community in which to raise our children; one that’s rich in economy and happiness.

The support we offer couples in business ultimately creates a better home environment for the husband and wife (and their kids), an improved workplace for their employees, which in turn flows on to their employees' homes too. Even clients benefit from dealing with business owners who are satisfied in their business and life.

By supporting a number of couples in business around the world, we aim to impact as many communities as possible.

It's a deeply rewarding passion of ours.

We believe that supporting couples in business is key to achieving our vision.
